See details * About Yoshikawa Brewery *
Founded in 1912. This is a sake brewery in Kanagawa Prefecture located at the foot of Mt. Tanzawa, which was known as Amefuriyama in ancient times as a place of worship for praying for rain.
He has won many awards overseas, including France’s Kura Master. Because we approach sake making with an honest approach, we continue to take on new challenges beyond our history as a long-established sake brewery.
Yoshikawa Brewery’s theme is “Sake for life’s Sake”
We aim to create “alcohol that complements and colors your life.” *About “Afuri”*
At Yoshikawa Brewing, we use abundant high-quality water from wells for everything from washing the rice to preparing water.
It is said that the water required to make sake is about 50 times the mass of rice, and there is a saying in the world of sake brewing that “water is a gift.”
The water used for brewing from the rain is hard water with a hardness of 150 to 160, which is rare in Japan. It is characterized by a manufacturing method that does not “sharpen” the raw rice, low-refined brewing, and low alcohol.
