[SDGs Stork Support] Sustainable accommodation plan now on sale ~ A journey where you will encounter dancing storks, blue skies and beautiful nature.
Aoawo Naruto Resort (Naruto City, Tokushima Prefecture General Manager: Yuji Takahashi https://www.aoawo-naruto.com/

) will be selling an accommodation plan that will lead to SDGs just by staying for the period from September 15, 2024 to January 31, 2025. In February 2015, a male and a female stork flew into the lotus root fields of Naruto City. Since 2017, chicks have been born every year. Nowadays, a rare migratory bird called the white-naped crane also stops by to spend the winter in Naruto.
In the lotus root fields, we are working on special cultivation methods that further reduce the amount of pesticides and chemical fertilizers that were originally used, and the creation of biotopes is also expanding.
With this plan, we will donate 100 yen per person per night from the accommodation fee and 200 yen per person per night from the hotel, a total of 300 yen to the Tokushima Stork Fund*.
Additionally, guests will receive a hotel-original stork observation guide map. For dinner, please enjoy locally harvested seasonal Awa fuudou delicacies from the mountains and the sea.

Inside the facility, you can also try your hand at traditional crafts, such as Awa indigo dyeing using natural lye fermentation, which has been practiced since the Edo period, and handmade Awa washi paper. “Hon-Awa Aizome” experience image

From your guest room or hot spring, you can see the sea sparkling with the rising sun and enjoy the bounty of Awa. Why not go on an autumn trip where you can get familiar with traditional culture that has been passed down through time, and be soothed by the beautiful nature with dancing storks?
