Japanese and Indian staff from Kufuraku, a Japanese restaurant that is expanding in India, are participating in the educational support activities started by Musubi in Gurgaon, India. We support activities that provide educational opportunities to children living on the streets and on the move, and work with local communities to develop a brighter future. *
KUURAKU Co., Ltd., which operates a Japanese restaurant in India, is part of the educational activities being carried out by the NPO Knot in Gurgaon, India.
GROUP has announced its cooperation, and Japanese and Indian staff at the same store are supporting the activities. The purpose of this activity is to provide educational opportunities to children living on the streets and on the move who have difficulty attending specific schools.
The activity site is an area where people living on the streets gather, and they spend their lives moving around the city doing ear cleaning work. Because these families do not have a permanent residence, they have few educational opportunities and are at high risk of being evicted, making it difficult to send their children to specific schools. In addition, some children are forced to beg and have little opportunity to learn.
Area where people living on the streets live, their jobs include begging and ear cleaning.
In such a harsh environment, the Kunitachi team is working to build relationships of trust with the local community, and has created an educational activity team that can move its activities to new locations even if they have to move. When Kufuraku’s Indian staff participated, they helped create an attendance list for the children, and the Japanese staff helped build relationships of trust through interaction with the children.
Through this cooperation, Kubitte and Kufuraku will further strengthen their activities to bring hope to children who have few opportunities to receive education, and continue to support them in opening up their futures. We plan to continue working with local communities to build a sustainable education support system.
