[Otokuni Junior Chamber] Otokuni DREAM Festa 2024 will be held! ! *See, touch, experience and discover! Special charm★*
■Festa overview
Through this project, the Otokuni Junior Chamber learned the importance of working on town development projects together with the citizens of the Otokuni area, local organizations, government officials, and local businesses, and also learned the importance of working on community development projects, as well as making effective use of the local resources of the Otokuni area. The event will be held in order to utilize the local resources of the Otokuni area to rediscover new attractions, foster love for the local area, and contribute to regional development.
We would like to work together with local organizations to enliven the Otokuni DREAM Festa by reporting on their activities and setting up booths in two cities and one town, as well as giving presentations from organizations with ties to the Otokuni area on stage. I am. In addition, this year’s festival will be held at the venue “Art & Technology Village Kyoto” and will provide children with an
opportunity to experience local characteristics and culture that they cannot experience on a daily basis. We aim to create an event that can lay the foundation for sustainable urban development that utilizes local resources, such as by planning a booth that will increase interest in local resources.

* ■What is the Youth Chamber (Kinki District Council)?*
We, the Junior Chamber of Commerce (abbreviated as “JC”)
was built in 1949 (Showa 24), when the scars of war remained deep in the city and in the hearts of the people, by young people who shared the same aspiration that “the rebuilding of a new Japan is the work of young people.” It was done.
Since then, the Junior Chamber has carried out various activities and movements with the philosophy of “realizing a bright and prosperous society.” It is made up of members who joined freely of their own free will, regardless of race, nationality, gender, occupation, or religion. Japan’s Junior Chamber of Commerce bases its activities on “individual training,” “service to society,” and “friendship with the world.” It strives for mutual enlightenment and exchange among its members, cultivates a public spirit, and cooperates with the local community. We work to contribute to the development of society through our work and actively address social issues. The students who have experienced various practical training at the Junior Chamber have a wide range of activities, and many graduates, including graduates who have reached the age of 40, not only play active roles as local leaders, but also produce many people in the political and business world.
The Kinki District Council of the Junior Chamber of Japan, a public interest incorporated association, operates in two prefectures and four prefectures within the Kinki region, and functions as a liaison and coordination body to ensure the smooth operation of junior chambers in each region. This is an organization that is developing a movement.
