In order to respond to complex and diversifying social issues and customer needs, Shimizu Corporation is focusing on urban development using big data and digital technology, in addition to conventional architectural and civil engineering design and construction. While promoting urban development in collaboration with local governments and other stakeholders, I realized that transportation, disaster prevention, and tourism are major issues in cities, and that these can be solved using big data and digital technology.
Therefore, we have combined the strengths of Shimizu Corporation, GEOTRA, and Groovenauts Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, President and CEO: Hidehiro Saikubi) to optimize transportation, disaster prevention, and tourism. We have started developing a data analysis platform.
* (Specific usage example)*
* [Transportation] *
By visualizing data from which areas people are coming to Toyosu, we conducted an analysis aimed at reorganizing the transportation network and proposing new routes.
* [Disaster prevention] *
Using the heavy rains that occurred in western Japan, which occurred mainly in Kure City, Hiroshima Prefecture, as a theme, we conducted a simulation of “in what order should roads closed due to landslides be restored?”
* 【sightseeing】*
Visualize the hourly increase and decrease in inflow routes in the Toyosu area. We cross-referenced visitors from each tourist spot by visitor attributes such as residents, workers, and visitors to visualize and analyze more detailed trends.
