Type Project launches “TP Sky Modern” in 8 weights
*Added delicate weight UL (Ultra Light) to the 4 types of low contrast in the TP Sky series*

We have announced that we have added 7 weights from UL (ultra light) to H (heavy) in addition to Blk (black) in the “Modern” series. This allows the “TP Sky”
“Modern” will be available in 8 weights. Starting today, we will start offering Type Project’s subscription service “TP Connect”.
The TP Sky family is the first Japanese font to have four axes: weight, contrast, character width, and foot space (inner space within the strokes). Among them, TP Sky
Modern is a sans-serif typeface with the widest footprint of Type Project’s fonts, and a stable and generous structure.
TP Sky
Modern is characterized by large fonts designed to fill the space, and at the same time widens the space, the font is also large, and the sizes of kana and kanji are similar. TP Sky, an extra thick weight Modern Blk has been repeatedly adjusted so that kanji, kana, and Western characters with different number of strokes look neat even if they are lined up side by side. UL and EL (Extra Light) are slender weights that are light and transparent, and can create a uniform look by setting the line width to be approximately the same. The line widths from L (light) to H (heavy) are designed so that they appear visually uniform, resulting in typesetting with stable blackness.
Like Japanese letters, European letters have a calm, orthodox design that gives a powerful impression by having a large frame and a generous frame. Since the height is adjusted for each weight, the appearance is well balanced and provides a natural appearance when assembled.

In line with the weight development of TP Sky Modern, new TP Sky low contrast, TP Sky condensed and compressed low contrast, and TP Sky A delicate UL (Ultra Light) has been added to the Classic Low Contrast. This brings the TP Sky family to the TP Sky Modern There are now 72 fonts in total: 8 weights, 48 TP Sky fonts (weight x contrast x character width), and 16 TP Sky Classic fonts (weight x contrast).
