Safee launches a solution that enables the use of cloud recording services using existing analog cameras
*Achieving DX at low cost by utilizing existing equipment*
*Safey Co., Ltd. (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director, President and CEO Sadoshima), the No.1 cloud recording service share (*1)
Ryuhei (hereinafter referred to as “Safee”) will now begin providing a solution that allows existing analog cameras to be used for cloud recording services. *

Recently, in facilities such as condominiums and factories, as existing equipment ages and the surrounding environment changes, requests have been received to replace analog cameras with cloud recording services. Among these, when replacing analog cameras with cloud cameras that enable cloud recording services, there were barriers such as the need for long construction periods and costs.
This solution utilizes the analog cameras and wiring networks that are already in use, making it possible to introduce the latest cloud recording services with minimal construction time and initial costs, even in facilities and sites where it has been difficult to introduce cloud cameras. It makes it possible. This makes it possible to realize on-site DX through remote management using Safie.
* ■Current situation and barriers to DX using condominiums as an example *
Since the birth of private condominiums in Japan in 1956, the total number of condominiums in stock is approximately 7.043 million units (as of the end of 2023/*2). There are approximately 1.369 million (as of the end of 2023/*3) aging condominiums that have been built for more than 40 years, and this number is expected to rapidly increase by approximately 3.4 times to 4.638 million units by 2043. . Furthermore, with regard to condominiums, the aging of both buildings and residents is progressing rapidly, and various issues are emerging.
Amid this situation, a shortage of manpower due to the aging of managers and difficulty in recruiting has become an issue in condominium management services as well. As this trend continues to accelerate, various solutions are being provided through DX, with the aim of providing efficient management services without reducing resident satisfaction.
As companies are currently considering DX in condominium management operations, demand for network cameras that can manage multiple locations to save labor is also increasing. At the same time, there have been comments (see below) that it is difficult to introduce the system due to facility restrictions in each apartment.
・Unable to install a new network on existing properties
・Even if installed in an existing property, it is difficult to amortize the cost due to the cost of other equipment.
・When replacing an existing analog camera in an apartment, it is preferable to use existing wiring and equipment due to cost
considerations.
* ■Offer contents and main features*
With this solution, it is possible to introduce digital-quality cloud cameras while effectively utilizing existing equipment. Utilizing existing coaxial cables, we can build a network and introduce high-quality digital video without the need for large-scale
construction.
-Main features-
・Develop and network cameras according to the environment and budget of each property and equipment (including construction)
– Stable provision of network environment with reduced construction costs ・Related products (analog encoders, coaxial LAN converters) provide high quality equipment at reasonable costs.
*Existing coaxial cables and cameras may not be usable due to aging, cable quality, camera system specifications, wiring methods, environment, wiring equipment, etc.
In addition to condominium managers (management associations, management companies, etc.), cloud cameras can be used to replace existing apartments, factories, and other facilities that are not equipped with cloud cameras.
This time, by providing related products that use coaxial cables (analog encoders, coaxial LAN converters), we will first eliminate the hurdles to introducing network cameras. In the future, by adding equipment that matches the issues of facilities and properties, we will simplify remote management operations tailored to each site.
In recent years, labor shortages due to a decline in the working population have become increasingly apparent in a variety of industries. By launching this solution, we aim to save labor through remote management by replacing existing facilities. In the future, we aim to reduce management man-hours, deter crime at target facilities, and improve asset value through DX coordination with multi-site facilities.
At Safie, we will promote DX on-site in all industries using video data and solutions to save labor in the future.
