Matsui Sake Brewery LLC (located in Kurayoshi City, Tottori
Prefecture) has decided to release “2025 Kurayoshi Single Malt Whiskey SNAKE LIMITED EDITION” and “Pure Malt Whiskey Kurayoshi -Mitai- 2025 Special Release” in the winter of 2024.
The Snake, the zodiac sign for 2025, symbolizes wisdom and change, and is said to have the power of insight and regeneration.
Since ancient times, snakes have been considered mystical beings, and their shedding of their skin has been thought to mean “rebirth” and “new beginnings.”
Just like a snake shedding its skin, it may reveal a new flavor every time you drink it.
This auspicious bottle celebrates the start of the year, and can be enjoyed as a souvenir for returning home during the year-end and New Year holidays, as a souvenir for New Year’s greetings, or as a gift for a loved one.

The label reproduces a snake full of vitality that governs regeneration. Pure malt whiskey to celebrate the Year of the Snake is the fourth in the Zodiac label series.

Kiryu-ori is a textile made around Kiryu City, Gunma Prefecture. Kiryu-ori has a history of more than 1,000 years, and is said to be “Nishijin of the west, Kiryu of the east.” Kiryu-ori, which uses seven weaving techniques, has a soft feel and luster, and is known for its high-quality kimonos. It is widely used in everything from clothing to accessories.
