A baby three-toed sloth was born at Adventure World (Shirahama Town, Wakayama Prefecture) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, and is the first baby of its kind at the park. After giving birth, both mother and baby seemed calm and breastfeeding behavior was observed, but the mother became ill the next day and later died.
Currently, the staff is taking on the role of her mother, and she has started eating baby food by receiving milk from the staff at the Wild Animal Medical Center. My body is growing bigger and bigger every day. *
We will begin opening the house to the public so that many people can take a look at his stable health and the precious stage of growth that can only be seen now. *

Special

As a “Future Creation Park,” the park embodies the image of a prosperous future Earth where all life is filled with smiles (happiness). Through the “small earth” that is the Park, we will continue to create future Smiles so that the lives of everyone involved will be enriched, the lives of animals will be forever connected, and nature and resources will be circulated and
