Osaka City has signed a partnership agreement with DxP, a certified NPO that supports isolated young people. Building a support system for young people gathered under the grid
* D×P, a certified NPO that supports isolated young people (Chuo-ku, Osaka, Chairman: Noriaki Imai)
D×P) Hato Osaka City is pleased to announce that we have entered into a collaboration agreement regarding a survey regarding young people gathering in the downtown area of Minami, Osaka. *
*
Through this partnership agreement, a survey will be conducted regarding young people who gather in the downtown area of Minami, Osaka, and D×P and Osaka City will share the results, analyze the data, and work together to consider the optimal support method. I will continue to do so. *
* Background to the conclusion of the collaboration agreement * In the downtown area of Minami, Osaka, young people who are isolated because they have no place to belong at home or school are gathering and connecting through social media. There are also young people who live in downtown areas to escape abuse and domestic violence. Young people from various backgrounds gather in the downtown area of Minami, Osaka, and the “night town” has become a safety net for young people.
D×P has opened a youth center in a 5-minute walk from Guri-shita (under the Glico signboard in Dotonbori) in Minami, Osaka. We create a safe space where you can eat, relax, or take a nap.
Young people who arrive in downtown areas have been traumatized by interactions with multiple adults, and the hurdles to accessing existing support such as welfare and medical care are high. However, they are often placed in situations that they cannot do anything about on their own.
On days when the youth center is not open, I will conduct individual interviews, accompany people to medical institutions and local government offices, and work with them to help them achieve their desired state.
A year has passed since the youth center opened. I have been involved with many young people.
I felt the importance of collaborating with a variety of people, including local governments, in order to better understand the actual situation and needs of young people and take necessary initiatives. Through this agreement, we will conduct a survey of young people who gather at the Youth Center, share the survey results with Osaka City, learn about the attributes and backgrounds of young people who gather in the downtown area, including Guri-shita, and mutually agree on the optimal We will continue to look for ways to support you.

Our organization works to resolve the isolation of the youth generation (young people between the ages of 13 and 25) who are facing various difficult circumstances such as financial difficulties, dropouts, and abuse. You will meet them in downtown areas and through LINE consultation, and create connections with people you can rely on in times of trouble. In order to cover the areas that are difficult for public institutions to cover on their own, we will create a safety net from the private sector, leverage and connect diverse
opportunities (people, companies, and regions), and create
opportunities that do not yet exist in the world.
We are mainly engaged in two businesses.
* 1. Placement business in the downtown area of Minami, Osaka * We have opened a “Youth Center” in the downtown area of Minami, Osaka (commonly known as Guri-shita), where young people who do not have a place at home or school can spend time safely. We create a space where young people can relax and spend time by providing meals, games, comics, music, etc. In addition to daily life support, we collaborate with government, medical institutions, specialized organizations, and other organizations to provide companion support while being attentive to people’s concerns.
* 2. LINE consultation business “Yukisaki Chat” *
We operate a counter where young people aged 13 to 25 from all over the country can receive advice on career options, dropping out of school, and daily life. Food assistance and cash transfers are provided to young people who are particularly struggling financially. We stabilize their immediate lives through food assistance and accompany them to take the next step, such as finding a job, going to higher education, or reaching out to public institutions.
