Filipino technical interns arrive at Sanwa Dock

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “MOL”) and Sanwa Dock Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Sanwa Dock”) are MM, a foreign human resources consulting business company operated by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines in the Philippines.

(Reading: MM Empower, Note 1) We have been conducting recruitment activities for Filipinos in collaboration with Sanwa Dock, and Sanwa Dock has decided to hire the first six technical interns from the Philippines, who will start their positions on September 1st this year. I did.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, which has a wealth of experience and know-how in recruiting and training foreign seafarers, has been cultivating the excellent human resources needed by Sanwa Dock, including the engineering staff and those with experience in maintaining marine engines. Sanwa Dock has been accepting Vietnamese technical interns for about 15 years, but by welcoming new Filipino interns this time, we will continue to diversify the human resources at the site. The six trainees were hired locally in the Philippines in February 2024 and studied Japanese and culture at a local facility for approximately five months before coming to Japan in August of this year. I started working at Sanwa Dock on September 1st. At Sanwa Dock, you will be engaged in finishing work in the engine department and learn Japanese skills and techniques.
Mitsui O.S.K.
