Survey results
We performed text analysis on the analysis population, picked up the top 20 dissatisfied keywords for each gummy/gum category, and focused on keywords that had a gap of 30 or more positions in the rankings of each category.
Characteristic keywords for gummy bears include “texture,” “sourness,” “elasticity,” “capacity,” “hands,” “sugar,” “bag,” and “flavor.”
Keywords characteristic of gum include “(wrapping) paper,” “xylitol (gum),” “bottled gum,” “run out,” “stomach,” “artificial sweetener,” “gum flavor,” and “aspartame.”
Using the keywords that appeared as a reference, we created a custom dictionary that summarizes dissatisfied factors regarding gummies and gum. We applied it to each data set of gummy and gum, and performed quantitative aggregation.
For gummies, the most common factors are “texture/elasticity,” “hard/soft,” “quantity/volume,” and “taste/taste,” while for gum, “raw materials/additives,” “packaging/container,” and
“teeth/mouth/jaw/throat” are the most common. This was the result.
Extract the top dissatisfaction items for each and create a word cloud. The main complaints we picked up are as follows.
In the report, opinions are plotted for each item using our
proprietary framework “Priority Issue Diagram” that identifies issues that should be prioritized based on the “quantity” and “quality (impact on usage/purchase)” of opinions. We will identify potential issues while checking the clusters.
Details of specific complaints in each category can be found within the report. Please feel free to download and use it.
