JCB partners with major Azerbaijani financial institution Azer Turk Bank to expand card member stores
JCB Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and Executive Officer and President: Futami) is the only international card brand management company originating from Japan.
JCB International Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yoshiki Kaneko), a subsidiary that conducts overseas operations of
(hereinafter collectively referred to as “JCB”) is Azer Turk Bank, a major financial institution in the Republic of Azerbaijan located in the South Caucasus.
OJSC (Headquarters: Baku City, CEO: Orkhan
Huseynov) has reached an agreement regarding the handling of JCB cards at the bank’s member stores and ATMs, and the bank will begin handling JCB cards from Tuesday, September 10, 2024. In addition, JCB touch payment is also available at participating stores.

*Background of the partnership*
The Republic of Azerbaijan, located on the west side of the Caspian Sea, is a country with abundant energy resources, a rich culture, and an ancient history, and is also known as a business hub connecting Eastern Europe and Western Asia. Tourism is also rapidly growing, and its unique cuisine and diverse natural environment are a major attraction for visitors.
This partnership is between JCB, which wants to expand its member store network in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Azer, who wants to expand its member store services by handling the international brand JCB.
