(Headquarters: Toshima Ward, Tokyo), an insole research and development manufacturer that “enriches people’s lives from the feet up”, On Saturday, October 12, 2024, we will be holding “Live broadcast with rickshaws from Africa! ~Gump Suzuki Rickshaw Interim Report Talk Event Across Africa~”.
Gump Suzuki is a rickshaw traveler who continues to tour around Japan and the world pulling his rickshaw.
After completing my journey across the United States in 2023, my challenge from July this year was to cross Africa. The journey across Africa is expected to be even more grueling than before, but even though they have already encountered many troubles, they have continued their journey without stopping.
Gump Suzuki, who overcame the hardships of traveling in a rickshaw and gave courage to many people by conveying the real human drama, will be broadcast live from Africa in a live talk.
What is the African world seen by Gump Suzuki, who has seen the world with his rickshaw?
What stories are born with the people you meet during your harsh journey, and what kind of “people” do you feel from them?
This is a talk event that I hope many people will listen to. The interviewer will be Daisuke Yamazaki, representative director and vice president of Mother House Co., Ltd., which continues to propose careful manufacturing and how to use things based on the philosophy of “creating a world-class brand from a developing country.”

A rickshaw traveler traveling around the world
Born in Kyoto in 1990. He discovered rickshaws at the age of 23. While working as a rickshaw driver in Asakusa, in 2016 he has been taking on the world’s first rickshaw ride across five continents while posting videos on SNS, with the aim of interacting with people around the world through rickshaws, a part of Japanese culture. . He traveled to Asia, Europe, and Australia, but his trip across the United States was suspended due to the coronavirus. He returned to Japan temporarily and traveled 3,000km from Hokkaido to Okinawa while working on regional revitalization in each city, town, and village. After that, I started my journey across the United States from scratch and achieved my revenge by crossing 5,100km. Completed the Shikoku pilgrimage in 2023.

Born in Tokyo in 1980. After graduating from Keio University, he joined Goldman After working as an economist at Sachs Securities, he retired in 2007. Together with Eriko Yamaguchi, a junior at university, he founded Mother House Co., Ltd., which delivers the potential of developing countries through manufacturing, and became vice president.
Representative director since March 2019. For half of the year, he was in charge of marketing and production management for the company, which now employs approximately 800 people, while traveling overseas, focusing on six production countries and three sales countries. Others: Outside director of Que Co., Ltd., outside director of Japan Blind Soccer Association, etc.
