An event that aims to realize “Equality”.
To commemorate his bronze medal at the World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships, Kaito Murai, a member of our company, and his mother, Emi Kaneko, a parts model, made a guest appearance as a parent and child.
* ■ Event report *
Our company supported the “AVENIR” program, where people with disabilities learn about culture and entertainment.
This is the stage of “SCHOOL”. Following a fresh fashion stage by young models and a soul-stirring singing performance by singer TiA, Avenir members dressed in XLARGE/X-girl costumes walked down the runway.
Model Takuma Iwasaki was in charge of walking instruction and styling for the Avenir School stage, and Ichinosuke Umekawa, a dancer and chairman of Avenir School, provided stage direction and dance instruction. The strength of these professionals and the dedicated and unique personalities of Avenir members have been perfectly combined to create a stage that embodies the event’s theme of “Everyone can be equally charismatic on the same stage.” It was.

In the second half of the stage, the performers changed into matching Avenir School T-shirts and performed Soran Bushi and other songs, and everyone’s powerful and lively performance filled the venue with great energy.
* ■ How to choose costumes, etc. *
The performers will be X-girl from Harajuku in advance.
We all gathered at the store, and from among the many clothes available, Takuma Iwasaki listened to our tastes and styled items that matched our image. Both she and her family seemed a little nervous about which costume they would wear, but when they came out of the fitting room and were praised by Mr. Iwasaki and her friends, they were all smiles.
Ms. Iwasaki taught the students at Avenir School what it means to be a professional model, such as “Models don’t wrinkle their clothes,” and “Models walk beautifully even if their feet hurt.” This left an impression on me, and I felt that this kind of equal approach encouraged everyone at the school to take the project seriously. Styled by model Takuma Iwasaki using XLARGE/X-girl items and making use of each individual’s individuality.

[Mr. Soshuu]
I practiced every day during summer vacation, so the actual
performance was really fun. I wore a cool hoodie and my favorite jeans, so it was perfect. I aim to become a dancer who can deliver hope to the world. I will turn this experience into an experience and work hard towards the next step.

I was able to coordinate with X-girl’s wonderful costumes, and I was able to confidently walk down the runway with gratitude and joy in my heart, and it was a lot of fun. After experiencing this stage, I became more interested in fashion and want to work harder as a model! I thought.

To commemorate winning the bronze medal in the 50m backstroke at the World Down Syndrome Swimming Championships, I was able to walk down the runway with my family and have fond memories. It was fun coordinating parent and child with X-girl from head to toe!

* ■ From model Takuma Iwasaki *
At first I thought it was impossible, thinking, “Will I be able to work as a lecturer?” But when I went to see them once, everyone came to me and said, “I want to work with these kids!” ” I was so excited. At first, I heard that everyone was wearing their own clothes on the runway, and I honestly thought, “I’m not excited!” Personally, when I have my stylist choose my clothes, I can make new discoveries about myself through the clothes, so I thought, “If you’re a model, you have to have clothes.”
That’s why I was so happy that XLARGE/X-girl provided the costumes this time. However, when I interacted with all the performers, I thought it would be great if they could convey that it’s not a given that they provide costumes, and that models may look glamorous on the outside, but their feet hurt, and they have to put up with it all the time.
This time, my friends also created the runway sound, and the fact that we were able to help each other accomplish something that we would never have been able to accomplish alone will be a source of inspiration for me in the future, and it has given me confidence that I want to continue doing what I can. I am truly grateful for this opportunity.

The runway and performance, which was our first challenge as Avenir School, was successfully completed with the help of Takuma Iwasaki and Beads International. We sincerely hope that the children will experience the extraordinary experience of standing on stage and expressing themselves, and that their time in the future will be even more colorful. We would like to continue to create many such opportunities and express the message of all quality through the stage. Thank you very much to everyone involved for your hard work.

At our company, we welcome para-athletes as employees to support their competitive activities, and as a silver partner and official supplier of Japan’s first women’s soccer league, WE League, we work to promote a society in which women are active. . These initiatives incorporate the hope that a wide variety of people with wonderful individuality will be able to shine and play an active role in their own way. However, I am constantly thinking about what I can do to prevent these activities from becoming temporary activities or mere performances. We wondered if there was anything our company could do to help with this event, but we thought it would be a good idea to use fashion, which is one of our vocations, to help bring out the individuality and brilliance of the performers. We decided to provide costumes. When I actually saw performers walking down the runway wearing our clothes, I saw them wearing them in ways that I wouldn’t normally think of (for example, taking advantage of their small bodies by wearing a T-shirt as a dress) and proudly showing off their true selves. I felt the wonderful individuality of each of them in their behavior, and I was very encouraged by everyone’s dazzling smiles and words that said they would treasure the costumes.
Currently, our overseas business is expanding. In the future, I would like to go out into the world, find people and things that shine, and spread the word.
