Under the Tsukuba Super Science City Initiative, Tsukuba City aims to create a city where people can get around without relying on private cars. Tsukuba City, Tokai Clarion, and JAXA are conducting a demonstration experiment of the “Children’s MaaS Service,” which connects facilities adjacent to pedestrian decks with low-speed autonomous mobility to support the safe movement of children as a service for the child-rearing generation. At the pedestrian deck in the Tsukuba Center area, we will conduct a demonstration experiment of autonomous driving (Level 2) using the low-speed autonomous mobility “YADOCAR-i Drive” with children on board.
At the same time, by applying MADOCA-PPP, a high-precision independent positioning system that utilizes centimeter-level positioning reinforcement signals that JAXA is researching and developing, to the YADOCAR-i drive, we will demonstrate improved positioning accuracy and speed.
