Japan Measuring Instruments Industry Federation (abbreviation) Keikoren) is a national comprehensive organization for weight and measurement equipment whose members include Japan’s representative weight and measurement equipment-related companies and organizations. The purpose of the Japan Mechanical Engineering Federation is to promote and develop the metrology and measurement equipment industry through the advancement of metrology and measurement equipment, thereby contributing to the improvement of Japan’s economy and people’s lives.
The Keikoren was established on May 21, 1952, and has continued to develop and improve its organization in response to changes in social conditions. In order to fulfill our social role while fulfilling our business activities, we became an incorporated association with the approval of the Minister of International Trade and Industry (currently the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry) on April 1, 1970, and on April 1, 2012, we became the Prime Minister of Japan. With the approval of the Minister, we have transitioned to a general incorporated association.
In order to achieve the purpose for which it was established, Keikoren has been conducting a variety of projects, including research, demand development, and technology development.
In implementing projects, standing committees for general affairs policy, labor affairs, technology, market development, international business, public relations, and the environment, as well as special committees that consider commissioned projects, auxiliary projects, etc., are each in charge of projects by theme. .
Currently, our members are 124 metrology-related manufacturing companies and 5 organizations, and our supporting members are 15 companies and 4 organizations.
