Business start-up support case collection
Published as a Saga Prefecture case study in
In this ongoing effort, seven teams of junior high and high school students in Saga Prefecture created a solution using design thinking and programming, with the theme of utilizing vacant houses in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture. I will present at the actual event.
■Event overview
*A program where junior high and high school students, who will lead the next generation, demonstrate their creative ideas and curiosity and use digital skills to solve local issues*
*We will use digital tools using programming to create ideas for solving regional issues using design thinking to explore user value, and hold a presentation contest*
[Special event site]: https://steamdays.innodrops.org/program-saga2024/ * -Aim of event/activity-*
* 01 Create opportunities to develop into future human resources by providing a place to challenge and gain experience points *
Towards human resources who can eliminate regional disparities in recognition and create new value without fear of failure To foster children’s creative ideas and curiosity, and to become human resources who can practice solving social issues
* 02 Practical entrepreneurship model *
A practical model for nurturing entrepreneurs in which middle and high school students learn interesting thinking methods used in business, explore user value using design thinking, and create prototypes using programming.
* 03 Activities that contribute to strong (related) population growth in the region from a long-term perspective*
During their junior and senior high school years, they not only get to know and learn deeply about the area in which they live, but also have the experience of making the area their own by gaining “the experience of shaping local solutions themselves.”
Even if you leave the area in the future, it will remain as one of your own experiences, so you will become a strongly connected population.
* 04 Strive to enrich the environment and create an ecosystem for developing next-generation human resources that transcends the boundaries of region and age*
Create an environment that can support the development of
next-generation human resources beyond local boundaries. Provide a learning place where university students, who are normally the subject of education, can output their output as companions.
*About regional issue themes*
*This year’s theme is “How can we increase the number of usable vacant houses?”* Motoyasu Sasaki Tosuya
Thanks to the cooperation of Mr. Sasaki, who lights the stage in Arita Town, Saga Prefecture.
* ・Problems faced by people who own vacant houses*
* ・Problems faced by people looking for empty houses (spaces) * By digging deeper into each user’s perspective, each team creates unique solution ideas using programming (games or applications), which is their weapon of choice for solving problems based on the
viewpoints, ideas, and interests of junior and senior high school students. Realize it through programming.
