◆Overview Students of the elementary and junior high schools affiliated with the Faculty of Education of Okayama University of the National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Yasutomo Nasu) will attend from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. on September 11, 2024. We participated in the Higashiyama district joint greeting campaign held in 2019.
The joint greeting campaign has been going on for about 10 years through the joint efforts of the Higashiyama area neighborhood association, Okayama Prefectural Okayama Higashi Commercial High School, Bell Gakuen Educational Corporation Okayama Medical and Welfare College, Sanyo Gakuen Junior and Senior High School, and Okayama University Faculty of Education Elementary and Junior High Schools. Although this event had been held for some time, it was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, and this is the first time in five years that it has been revived.
The road in front of the main gates of the affiliated elementary and junior high schools is designated as a “kids zone” and is closed to general vehicles from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on weekdays, and the neighborhood association members keep an eye on the road, making it safe and secure for children to go to school. It’s done.
Although it was hot and humid on the day, the children’s council from the affiliated elementary school and the student council from the affiliated junior high school gathered in front of the main gate from early morning, and together with students and teachers from other schools, the students and students coming to school were refreshed and energetic. We exchanged greetings.
This greeting campaign is also a part of community exchange, and we plan to continue participating in it. We look forward to your continued support of the activities of the Affiliated Gakkoen, a member of Okayama University, a regional core and distinctive research university.
