*1. About event exhibition*
Iwata Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that “Kyoto Material” will be held at the Kyoto Art Center on September 21st and 22nd.
Yard｜Kyoto Material Warehouse” will exhibit waste materials generated during our manufacturing process (haggis, feather waste, dongoros (linen packaging cloth)). This is part of IWATA’s circular economy goal.
Amid concerns about global resource shortages and environmental destruction, Iwata wants to encourage the effective use of valuable resources and contribute to protecting the global environment. We will work towards realizing a sustainable society while thinking about what we can do now for the future of people and the environment. We believe that extending the life of products, reusing them, reducing waste that has no use, and disposing of it safely are important roles in manufacturing.

September 25th is “GLOBAL GOALS DAY” when the SDGs were adopted. In conjunction with this day, as part of the circular economy that IWATA aims for, the
“IWATA
RENMEN(R)️” Bath Towel & Face Towel Set will be given away to 10 people by lottery for customers who follow IWATA’s official Instagram. The weft yarn is made from re-spun fabric scraps generated during the bedding production process.
This is an initiative that leads to the effective use of resources and the reduction of waste.
Of course, IWATA does not forget about our commitment to quality. By using yarn in the pile section using a special twisting technique that creates air gaps between the yarns, the water absorption capacity is increased. This is an excellent product that dries quickly and does not shed much fluff.
