East Japan’s “people, things, and information” gather in Omiya! The “Fukui Food Country Fukui Products Fair” will be held at Marumaru Higashi Nihon (East Japan Collaboration Center), a place for regional revitalization that promotes exchange, communication, and
revitalization, located a 1-minute walk from the east exit of Omiya Station!
This is a 3-day limited event from September 21st (Saturday) to September 23rd (Monday, holiday). This is a special project that brings you the charm of Fukui Prefecture’s food, from Fukui
specialties to famous sweets. We will be selling Fukui Prefecture’s specialty “Yaki mackerel sushi”, “Daifuku Anpan” which is very popular at antenna shops in Fukui Prefecture, and popular local sake. During the event period, we will be giving out free Kinukomachi (a baked sweet made from sable dough with habutae mochi stuffed with walnuts) to the first 50 people starting at 1:30 p.m. each day.

What is Marumaru East Nihon (East Japan Collaboration Center)? Taking advantage of the advantages of Saitama City, which is the “gateway to eastern Japan,” we will promote the exchange and dissemination of “people, goods, and information” in eastern Japan, and revitalize the regional economy of eastern Japan, including Saitama City. It was established with the purpose of contributing to regional revitalization. Since its opening, it has served as a place for city promotion to widely disseminate the charms of Saitama City and eastern Japan, and as a place for business matching, supporting the expansion of business between businesses from all over eastern Japan and businesses in the city.
