More than 3,600 successful applicants to universities ranked in the top 50 in the world! InGenius Prep, a popular educational consulting company from the United States, has landed in Japan for the first time.
* The demand for personalized academic counseling services that will lead you to the world’s top universities is increasing*
This is good news for Japanese junior high and high school students who hope to enter the world’s top-ranked universities.
Early preparation is essential for entering universities that are ranked within the top 50 universities in the world, such as Harvard University, MIT, Stanford University, and Yale University.
In recent years, in the United States, there has been a rapid increase in the number of students receiving personal guidance from
professionals from the time they enter secondary school (equivalent to the third year of junior high school in Japan) in order to increase their chances of admission to top universities. Although guidance from on-campus admissions counselors is free, there is an increasing need for students and their parents to receive more specialized personal guidance at a higher price in order to gain admission to top universities.
Specialized services like Prep are attracting attention.
InGenius Prep
*Harvard, MIT, Ivy League universities…Overwhelming number of successful applicants to the world’s top schools*
InGenius was born on the campus of Yale University, an Ivy League school, 11 years ago.
Prep has now grown into an educational consulting company with more than 150 counselors who have experience as admissions officers at the world’s top universities. Over the past 11 years, we have achieved an astonishing success rate of 50 students admitted to Harvard
University, 480 students accepted to Ivy League universities, and more than 3,600 students admitted to universities ranked in the top 50 in the world.
* InGenius Prep × PCD Global Campus now available to students from 25 countries around the world*
In 2023, InGeniusPrep will launch the Providence Country Day School (PCD), an online program to earn a diploma from a prestigious high school in the United States.
In partnership with Global Campus, we have decided to offer our company’s university entrance personal guidance program to high school students studying in 25 countries around the world. Even within Japan, there is a U.S. campus operated by PCD Global Campus Japan.
Among the students enrolled in the Dual Diploma Program, we provided personal guidance to four students who met certain criteria, and they were successfully admitted to top-ranked universities.

Getting into the world’s top universities has never been more difficult. As the number of applicants has increased, the acceptance rate has declined and competition has become more intense. There is a growing need for strategies to create excellent application documents that will make applicants stand out. Many high school students in these situations seek help from academic counselors they can trust wholeheartedly.
However, we are faced with the fact that most existing admissions counselors, even if they themselves have attended great universities, have no idea what actually goes on inside the admissions office. I noticed. Just because you got into a great university doesn’t mean you know why you got into it. What is asked in the entrance examination and what is accepted? Those who know the actual criteria for their examination can provide the most appropriate counseling. There was a really simple answer.
InGenius Prep says, “The most authentic knowledge and information about college admissions comes from the people who have actually worked in admissions offices.”
It was founded based on a simple realization. In 2013, we set out on a mission to build the world’s largest former admissions officer counseling team on Yale’s campus, and we have accomplished it. InGenius Prep Counselors/Coaches
Our team of over 150 former admissions officers from top schools in the nation has helped countless students get into the universities of their dreams. Our students come from all over the world, not only in the United States, but also in Asia, Europe, Central and South America, and other countries.
We are very excited to open our Tokyo office in partnership with the JAAC Japan-America Academic Center and to be able to offer our excellent support programs to Japanese high school and international school students through our Tokyo office. I am looking forward to the future. This is because, based on my own experience, I believe that Japan’s talented young people have enough qualities to be recognized by the world’s top universities.
First of all, we are * Dual Diploma Program (DDP) students at Providence Country Day School (PCD) Global Campus Japan *
Our main service is * “Application Counseling” * for students who meet certain criteria.
We have started offering the program free of charge. Thanks to you, we are already seeing good results. Additionally, starting next year, we plan to set up special fees for DDP students and provide longer-term counseling to prepare for higher education. Approximately half of DDP students go on to universities overseas. With our support, we aim to increase the number of DDP graduates who will be able to obtain scholarships from overseas universities.
The deciding factor for the world’s top universities is “How can you stand out from other applicants?”

*Interview with Shigeomi Takase*
Mr. Shigeomi Takase
* – Are the number of students wishing to attend top schools around the world increasing in Japan? *
yes. However, there is a steady increase in the number of students in Japan who are not simply hoping to go to Harvard University, but are seriously seeking that possibility. In fact, there are many Japanese high school students who have the potential to get into the world’s top-ranked universities.
* – Currently, how many people graduate from Japanese high schools and get accepted into world-class universities? *
Unfortunately, the reality is that the number of undergraduate students admitted to elite universities such as the Ivy League and Stanford, MIT, and California Institute of Technology is extremely small. Although the number increases when entering graduate school, the number of undergraduate students has remained low for a long time.
* – What do you think about the cause? *
First, there is an overwhelming lack of information. The benefits of attending one of the world’s top schools are generally not well understood. There is little information about the entrance
examinations for overseas universities, and I don’t know what preparations I need to make, so I don’t have a real sense of where I want to go.
Another reason is the lack of mentors. There are not many people in Japan who have the experience of enrolling as an undergraduate at a top school in the world. It is no exaggeration to say that there are very few instructors/counselors who know how to make their students stand out and attract attention, especially when talented students from all over the world apply.
* – After all, is it difficult to enter a top-level university in the world from a Japanese high school? *
I am JAAC
As the head of the U.S. headquarters of the Japan-America Academic Center, I have been providing guidance to Japanese students in the U.S. from admission to U.S. universities to graduation for over 30 years. That experience is valuable enough at a typical American university, but it’s a different story when it comes to getting into a top school. My experience alone is not enough in this field. Most applicants to the world’s top universities have high academic records and achievement test scores. If you are a non-English speaking applicant, you may have obtained a high score on the TOEFL. The key to success or failure is to stand out from the pool of excellent applicants’ documents and attract the attention of university admissions examiners.
In the United States, there are specialized consultants and consulting companies that provide guidance to students with such wishes. Among them, a representative company that has accumulated a track record in a short period of time is InGenius.
Prep company. They have created a counseling team unlike any other, recruiting former admissions officers from top schools including Harvard University. In addition, we have established a complete guidance and support system in which graduate school graduates from top schools serve as personal coaches. Past results have shown that their guidance can increase your acceptance rate to the university of your choice by 3 to 7 times.
* – I heard that DDP students at PCD Global Campus Japan actually received instruction from InGenius Prep. What did you think? * Last year, two students participated in InGenius Prep’s “Application Counseling” as DDP scholarship students.
program, I was accepted into one of the top universities in the world. (See the next section, “Voices from DDP students who took InGenius Prep (excerpt)”)
This program begins with counseling on the selection of universities to which to apply (usually 5 universities), formulating an application strategy, guidance on writing essays and other application documents, advice to recommendation requests, interview simulation training, and more. We will follow you through the entire process of applying to universities. Each student is assigned a counselor and a coach, and I feel that they have greatly expanded their potential by providing detailed guidance that assesses each student’s individuality and abilities. Two students are taking the same program this year. I’m really looking forward to the results.
* – Overseas universities are becoming more expensive year by year, but do you think InGenius Prep’s service will increase your chances of receiving university scholarships? *
Of course. At JAAC, we run the “American University Scholarship Study Abroad Program,” which provides students with the opportunity to receive scholarships at over 200 American universities. The number of universities that grant scholarships to international students is increasing, but it is not easy to meet the conditions set by each university.
InGenius
The programs and services provided by Prep in Japan are not only aimed at students who wish to attend the world’s top universities. A system in which the availability and amount of scholarships are determined based on the applicant’s evaluation.
I believe that the guidance for receiving a “merit scholarship” is meaningful for all students who wish to attend university overseas. basic program
“Application Counseling”
Although the cost of this is by no means low, in most cases the total amount of scholarships for four years far exceeds that amount.
* – The day will soon be when your DDP graduates will be enrolling at Harvard University. *
PCD Global Campus Japan’s DDP is a program that allows students to improve the skills necessary to enter universities around the world while attending a Japanese high school and earn a diploma from a prestigious American high school. In addition, our university’s 30 partner universities in five countries (USA, Canada, UK, Australia, and Dubai) guarantee undergraduate admission without TOEFL/SAT exemption. All of the universities are highly rated and highly ranked, but InGenius
Prep’s personal tutoring program aims to help universities rank even higher. As you said, we believe that our mission is to build a solid track record so that we can soon send many successful students to top schools, including Ivy League schools.

“InGenius
Through the Prep interview, I was given tips on how to write essays each week and was given accurate advice on what to do and by when, which led to my success. There are many aspects of the essay that I am unaware of, such as grammar, nuances, and word choice, so by having the professional teachers correct me, I was able to create an essay that was easier to understand and more appealing to the examiner.”
“InGenius Prep
The teachers understood what kind of documents were required for each country and researched them in detail, which allowed me to spend more time focusing on my essays. He was an indispensable part of my overseas university entrance exams.”

“If it wasn’t for InGenius Prep, I don’t think I would have been able to get into a university like this. Thanks to the generous support.”
“Overall, they were very quick to respond, and if there was anything I didn’t understand, I asked them and they immediately explained it in detail, which was very helpful. The two people in charge were also very kind, and they helped me with my final destination university. When I was making my decision, she made a comparison chart of the
universities I had been accepted to, and together we discussed all the strengths and weaknesses of each university, which made it very easy to make a decision.”
