Let’s have fun learning with Nadeshiko Japan Legend Homare Sawa with the slogan “Sports brings a healthy heart!”

On Sunday, September 29th, the Japanese Circulation Association will co-host the “Healthy Heart Symposium 2024” in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, in collaboration with the Japan Heart Foundation, the Japanese Circulation Society, and the Japan AED Foundation. This time, we will welcome Nadeshiko Japan Legend Homare Sawa as a special guest, and the event will be held in a hybrid format, both on-site and online, so please join us from all over the country.

What is cardiovascular disease?
Cardiovascular disease is an important disease that is the second leading cause of death in Japan after cancer, but its name makes it difficult to convey its importance to the public. However, unlike cancer, this scary disease is unique in that prevention is extremely effective. You can join this year’s Healthy Heart Symposium and learn how to prevent cardiovascular disease*
Let’s learn about “Kokokatsu”*.

Part 1 is a lecture-style study. We will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of the basics of cardiovascular disease, prevention methods, and the current situation of cardiovascular disease in Miyagi Prefecture.
The second part will feature a special guest, Homare Sawa, and will be delivered in a conversation format. We will have a fun discussion about soccer and health with Ms. Sawa, a legend of the Japanese women’s national soccer team.
The third part is a discussion and mental quiz competition. After listening to lectures on health management from the Japan Football Association and the Miyagi Prefecture Soccer Sports Club, let’s all enjoy a quiz competition! We also have wonderful prizes for the winners!
