Jodie Comer plays a young female lawyer who investigates legal issues created in a male-dominated society, and won the Tony Award for Best Actress and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Actress. The main character Tessa, who has been active as a talented young lawyer and sometimes defended people accused of sexual assault, one day encounters problems with the current law when she herself is sexually assaulted. I will do it. This is a masterpiece that will deeply move everyone as Tessa feels her own powerlessness and struggles. To commemorate this theatrical release, TOHO Cinemas will be held on the first day of release on September 27th (Friday).
A talk event will be held after the Nihonbashi screening. We will be speaking with writer Tamaka Ogawa and Shoko Kashiwagi, who created the subtitles for this work.
