At Hachikan, we have a concept of 3 types of tranquility, and we offer a variety of content to help you recharge your body and mind with SPA, tea ceremonies, and meals, and meet a new version of yourself. .

Ohara, Kyoto, rich in nature
Ohara, a village of kindness dotted with the nature of Satoyama, is located about 40 minutes away from the center of Kyoto city, and is surrounded by beautiful mountains that retain the original scenery of Japan.
You can get in touch with nature by taking a walk through the countryside, take a walk along Ohara Komichi path while looking at the majestic mountains, and if you go a little further you can visit many famous places such as Sanzen-in Temple and Jakko-in Temple.
How to spend your time at the Hachikan
We will pick you up at the nearest station in the city in a car that you and your family can ride together.
Upon arrival, you can warm up in the SPA such as the sauna, open-air bath, or cypress bath, and then go to the relaxation room where you can receive body care, head spa, and other treatments from a professional therapist.

We opened on March 31, 2023 as an inn “Hachikan”, which is limited to one guest per day, in Ohara, a “village of kindness” dotted with the nature of Satoyama, an inn in Kyoto.
The main building is a pure Japanese-style building with a thatched roof that is said to be around 250 years old, a culturally valuable authentic tea room, and a garden that has been carefully crafted by craftsmen to every detail. I’m here.
You can enjoy the simplicity of Satoyama in Ohara, Kyoto, where Japan’s world-class cultural landscape and history are still alive today.
In addition, the detached accommodation building has been renovated into a modern Japanese luxury building, and has two types of saunas, a dry sauna and a steam sauna, and the second floor is a guest room floor that has been completely renovated into a modern Japanese style. There is also a living room and study, so it can be used for long-term stays.
