U-NEXT, a video streaming service operated by U-NEXT Co., Ltd. The East Asia Super League (EASL) is an annual international tournament that brings together top basketball clubs from East Asia’s major leagues to crown the region’s best team. In the previous season, Japan’s Chiba Jets claimed the championship, demonstrating the strength of Japanese basketball. For the 2024-25 season, clubs from Japan, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and the Philippines will be joined by new representatives from Hong Kong and Macau, promising an even more exciting competition.
From Japan, the reigning B.League champions, the Hiroshima Dragonflies, will compete in Group A, while the runners-up, the Ryukyu Golden Kings, will be placed in Group B. They will face strong contenders from across the region, including the Suwon KT Sonicboom and Busan KCC Egis from South Korea’s KBL, and the San Miguel Beermen and Meralco Bolts from the Philippines’ PBA, among others.
Exclusive Live Streaming on U-NEXT
U-NEXT will offer exclusive live coverage of all 34 EASL games. For Japanese teams, each match will be accompanied by Japanese commentary and analysis.
