On Friday, September 20, 2024, we held a regional revitalization consulting event for university students in the Tokyo metropolitan area at 3×3 Lab in Otemachi, Tokyo.

Event summary This event aims to encourage students attending universities in the metropolitan area to take a UI turn to Hiroshima Prefecture, where the outflow of young people is an issue.From the perspective of regional revitalization, this event will discuss the current situation in Hiroshima, which is suffering from an excess of outmigration of young people. It was conducted in the form of a case study. The 32 participating students interacted directly with young managers of companies in Hiroshima, learned about the possibilities and challenges of business in the region, and divided into groups to discuss measures to promote employment in Hiroshima. The event was planned and managed by Over20 & Company’s Any students (university students and working adults in their 20s who belong to PROJECT any), and consisted of the following sessions. 1) Panel discussion on Hiroshima Prefecture 2) Group work on measures to promote migration to Hiroshima and increase awareness of job hunting support sites 3) Presentations by each team

The following comments were received from the participants ・I was able to learn about the human resources situation in business in Hiroshima Prefecture ・I deepened my understanding of working in rural areas ・It was meaningful to spend time seriously working on problem solving with team members Additionally, 79% of participants answered that their impression of Hiroshima had “improved” or “slightly improved” through the event, and 62% of participants said their desire to work in Hiroshima had “improved” or “improved”. “It’s gone up a little bit,” he said.
