By adopting the new pigment ink “LUCIA PRO II” (*1), the image quality printed on fine art paper used for art photography etc. has been improved. It achieves the highest photo quality in the “imagePROGRAF” series, on par with higher-end models (*2). Furthermore, it has excellent light resistance, allowing printed works to be stored for long periods of time in high quality. ■ Enables rich color expression by expanding the color reproduction range in dark areas and improving black density It uses 12 colors of ink, including special colors red and blue, and two shades of gray. By expanding the color reproduction range in dark areas, it is now possible to express deep and smooth gradations from bright areas to dark areas. Furthermore, on fine art paper, the matte black ink’s black density has been improved, making it possible to express deep blacks. In addition, the high print image quality inherited from the previous model (*3) is achieved by faithfully reproducing the original colors of the work using the transparent ink “Chroma Optimizer” used when printing on
glossy/semi-gloss paper. These features provide the highest
photographic quality in the series and expand the range of color expression in your works. ■ Achieves light resistance that enables long-term storage of 200 years and abrasion resistance that prevents scratches due to abrasion By using pigment ink that has excellent color development but is difficult to be broken down by light, printed works can be light-resistant for 200 years (*4), allowing for long-term display and storage. Additionally, when printing on glossy/semi-gloss paper, the wax (*5) added to the pigment ink smoothes the printed surface and improves scratch resistance. This makes it easy to handle and avoid scratches when framing, packaging, transporting, and displaying printed materials. ■
