Since March 2024, Aeon Retail has been implementing an initiative to deliver and sell fresh fish by Shinkansen. Normally, the fish would be available at stores the day after it is caught, but by delivering it by Shinkansen, we can provide it to customers on the same day. In the past, we have sold fresh fish from Kanazawa Port in Ishikawa Prefecture and Hakodate Port in Hokkaido, and we have received feedback from customers that it is “fresh and delicious” and “I want to eat it again.” Following the favorable reception of the “Fresh Fish Caught in the Morning from Hakodate Port” held at the Hokkaido Fair in July, the second “Fresh Fish Caught in the Morning from Hakodate Port” will be held this time to coincide with the Hokkaido Fair, which will be held for three days from September 27th (Friday *2). Fresh fish caught in the morning from Hakodate Port will be delivered by Shinkansen. It will be sold only at three stores in the Tokyo metropolitan area for two days, September 27th (Friday) and September 28th (Saturday) *1).
