[Agile JP Co., Ltd.] Agile JP Co., Ltd. has released “PawsWalk”, a service that visualizes congestion status.
Agile JP Co., Ltd. Press release: September 27, 2024 Agile JP Co., Ltd. has released “PawsWalk”, a service that visualizes congestion status. Agile JP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka, Representative Director: Kazuhiro Kimura) has decided to release “PawsWalk”, a service that visualizes the congestion situation in specific spaces. I would like to inform you that. There are three service outlines below. 1. Users can check the congestion situation in advance even if they are not on site. By being able to use the service according to one’s wishes, satisfaction can be expected to improve. 2. Contractors can reduce the number of inquiries regarding congestion and can concentrate on their work. 3. Contractors can understand user behavior, provide smooth service, and reduce opportunity losses. PawsWalk is a product of our R&D (research and development) business. This is a service that visualizes the usage status of a specific space and allows users to check it before visiting. In addition to the real-time crowding situation, it is also possible to understand the attributes of visitors, allowing you to meet individual needs. Product aim This service is a product that allows you to check the real-time congestion situation on the web in specific spaces that do not require reservations. For example, I think we’ve all had the experience of going to a store and finding it was so crowded that we weren’t able to receive satisfactory service. For these reasons, it is predicted that users will have a hard time thinking about coming back next time. By being able to grasp the congestion situation in real time online, you can avoid situations like the one above, and at the same time, it will give customers an opportunity to visit your store, allowing them to use your store with more peace of mind. As a result, we can expect an increase in the number of users and an improvement in user satisfaction. Contractors who provide a specific space can expect to see an increase in the number of users during vacant time slots by reporting the congestion situation, thereby stabilizing the number of customers. In addition, by disclosing the congestion status using this service, we can expect to reduce the number of inquiries regarding telephone inquiries such as “Are you free now?”, thereby reducing staff time that was previously devoted to answering telephone calls. As a result, it is possible to improve operational efficiency and user satisfaction. Product details PawsWalk identifies users without installing cameras. Therefore, you can introduce a service that is low cost and considers privacy. At present, there are no similar applications, so we believe it has an advantage. In the future, it will be possible to use it across a wide range of industries. This service is also eligible for IT introduction subsidies. When considering the introduction of this service, we hope that you will take advantage of subsidies as well. We have received various requests from other facilities, and we are able to customize and implement the system for each customer. We aim to spread it further and further into society. Usage flow 1. Users scan the QR code on their user card when entering the space. 2. Enter user information from the terminal, enter and use the space. (No need to input information when using from the second time onwards)

Also, since the entry time of users is displayed, it is easier to predict that the seats will be available around 0:00. Even if it is crowded when you check, you can be encouraged to wait a while before visiting. Product development story This service was developed in response to the voices of business operators who are actually facing issues. In order to solve the problem as soon as possible, we started creating a prototype in order to make it visible as soon as possible so that people could have a concrete image of it. After presenting the product and seeing the actual screen and operation, we received feedback and made repeated modifications and improvements. The method we used this time is exactly the “agile” development method that is even in our company name. We believe that this is the best approach for customers who are not familiar with software and IT on a daily basis, and for relatively small-scale development. Comments from the developer This service has been developed by two engineers (Harusen Matsuura and Natsuki Takeichi) who are involved in our R&D (research and development) business. We asked both of them about the behind-the-scenes stories about the development, and we would like to introduce them to you. Points we struggled with and issues we faced while giving form to customer requests Natsuki Takeichi:This time, we proceeded with the project using agile development. This allows us to quickly make corrections and improvements while communicating with our customers. As a result, there were several times when we had to rework work by adding unanticipated movements to functions we had already created. However, we worked with the desire to provide services to customers in need as quickly as possible, and were able to complete the project. Utilization of generative AI in development Harusen Matsuura: We used generative AI from the initial stage of creating a prototype. This was my first attempt, but they provided me with working code faster than I expected, and I was able to create a visible prototype much faster than I expected. Natsuki Takeichi: Based on that prototype, we proceeded with development using generative AI to implement additional functions and create new screens. I spent far more time talking with the AI than with Mr. Matsuura. This product is also provided to customers in Kochi Prefecture. By visiting the company many times, meeting with them, and listening to their stories, I was able to understand the enthusiasm of our customers, and my desire to respond to them became stronger. So when I see a product I’ve developed actually being used, I feel a sense of accomplishment that I can’t put into words. I look forward to hearing from customers who are happy with the service and say, “It’s great, it’s made things easier.” Interview with the company that introduced it WANLIFE Co., Ltd. CEO Umehara’s voice This product is a service born from actual feedback from businesses in Kochi Prefecture. Kochi Prefecture’s open innovation platform was the opportunity to connect with this business operator. (Reference: https://kochi-oip.jp/ ) We would like to introduce WANLIFE, which cooperated with the interview for this service PawsWalk. Located in Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture, which is rich in nature, we also have a stylish cafe, a vast dog run, and a pet hotel. Mr. Umehara, the CEO, also develops and sells luxurious original pet food using Tosa bonito.

Mr. Umehara: When the store is busy, we receive phone calls such as “Are you open?”, “How many dogs are there at the dog park now?” and “Do you have any large dogs?” and even during busy hours. There were times when I couldn’t answer the phone and people thought I was on vacation. I wish we could make the current dog run situation a little more visible, but at the same time, I wonder if we’re not the only ones who are having trouble. I started thinking that. Shops are also unable to post information on their websites or social media in real time. For this reason, when we sent messages after the fact, we sometimes ended up leaving customers feeling disappointed, saying, “I looked at your website, but I don’t see that breed of dog.” I think this kind of customer problem is probably common all over the country. I thought there was a way to solve this problem, so I set out to make it a reality. If you can visualize the dog breed and entry time, both the store and the customer can read the time. It’s great for both of us to be able to read the time. Nowadays, smartphones have become widespread and it is no longer possible to miss a meeting, but passing each other only happens in front of the dog park. It’s an anachronistic environment that only happens here, where people look at availability and dog breeds and then go home, or kill time elsewhere and then come back. I think this PawsWalk will solve this problem to a large extent. Image

However, I didn’t want to make it a members-only store because I wanted it to be store-based and lead to customer satisfaction. So we are operating in our current form. And to begin with, not only in Kochi but also in Shikoku as a whole, there are very few facilities where you can bring your dog to play or stay overnight. But I really want more people to bring their dogs to Kochi Prefecture, which I have fallen in love with. But there are no lodgings where you can stay with your dog. If that’s the case, I should just create the field, and with that idea I launched WANLIFE, which is still running today. (The economic effect is really great when customers come with dogs.) Q. Lastly, could you please give a message to our readers? Mr. Umehara: Continuing to support a better life with dogs. We strive to be that kind of company in our daily activities. Please come visit WANLIFE. We are waiting for you. ・Contact information WANLIFE Co., Ltd. 304-1 Kotsuga, Shimanto City, Kochi Prefecture TEL: 0880-35-1589 Business hours: 8:30 – 18:00 Closed: Wednesdays and Thursdays https://wanlife-kochi.com/ ・PawsWalk service introduction page https://agile.co.jp/pawswalk/ [Company Profile] Agile JP Co., Ltd.
