Mr. Nagase and Mr. Takayama arrived at the Miyazaki Prefectural Office in the presence of Governor Kono, Chairman Hamasuna Prefectural Assembly, and many other officials and residents. At the Miyazaki Prefectural Hall Auditorium, Governor Kono awarded Nagase the “Sportsland Miyazaki Special Award,” Takayama the “Miyazaki
Prefectural Honor Award,” and Skye Brown the “Miyazaki Prefectural Citizen Honor Award.” Governor Kono praised the achievements of each athlete, saying, “The bravery shown at the Paris Olympics was deeply etched in the hearts of the people of the prefecture and gave them pride.” Below are comments from each award winner. ～Takanori Nagase～ Thank you very much for the wonderful award.
