Panasonic Holdings Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kadoma City, Osaka Prefecture, Representative Director, President and Executive Officer, Group CEO: Yuki Kusumi, hereinafter referred to as Panasonic HD) and FastLabel Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and CEO: Suzuki) Kenji (hereinafter referred to as FastLabel) aims to improve the efficiency of AI development in the Panasonic Group by integrating the multimodal platform model HIPIE (*1), which is being developed by Panasonic HD, with FastLabel’s Data-centric AI platform to provide automatic annotation. We will start collaborating to build it as a model. In AI development, creating the datasets necessary for AI learning is an important process. In particular, the process of labeling data, called annotation, is time-consuming and costly, and is a factor that reduces the efficiency and speed of AI development. To solve this problem, Panasonic HD is collaborating with FastLabel, a company invested in by the Panasonic Life Visionary Fund (*2) that develops and provides platforms for annotation, data management, and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations). The multimodal platform model “HIPIE” to be developed will be developed using “Data-centric” provided by FastLabel.
