The VRM Consortium (Representative Director: Yohei Ishii, Location: Chuo-ku, Tokyo / Dwango Co., Ltd. is a member) will run a virtual space from Thursday, September 26, 2024 to Sunday, October 27, 2024. We would like to inform you that we have started accepting submissions for the “Avatar Award 2024”, which judges and awards one’s own alter ego “Avatar”. ■Famous creators from the fashion and content industries will judge avatar works from a professional perspective  The “Avatar Award” is an award that solicits 3D avatar works from the general public and recognizes outstanding works, with the aim of promoting the creative and ever-evolving avatar culture and increasing the social recognition of creators. During the judging, the character, fashion, and innovativeness of the avatar works will be evaluated to determine the highest award.  The judges for the 5th Avatar Award 2024 are Ayumi Gunji, a fashion creative director who has worked on numerous magazines such as the popular fashion magazine “ViVi”, and Dengeki Bunko’s “Sword Art Online”. (SAO)” will be selected by famous creators from the content and fashion industries, including Kazuma Miki, who is known as the editor who created million-selling books such as “SAO” (more judges will be added).  The award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 11th at the Tokyo Port City Takeshiba Port Hall venue of “XR Kaigi 2024,” the largest conference in Japan with the theme of XR/Metaverse.
