preparation for the dismantling and new construction of the Biwako giant catfish tank, etc., and the holding of the topic exhibition “Japanese Catfish Exhibition – Towards Aquarium Regeneration” From October 1st, the Lake Biwa Museum will close part of the aquarium exhibition room due to the dismantling and installation of the Biwako giant catfish tank and Koayu tank. As a result, the Biwako giant catfish currently on display will be moved to a different tank. In addition, as a new aquarium-related exhibition through crowdfunding, the aquatic topic exhibition “Japanese Catfish Exhibition” will also display explanatory panels that were installed in the area that will be closed this time. Regarding partial closure of the Aquatic Exhibition Room  Due to the demolition and new construction of the Biwako giant catfish tank and Koayu tank, the black areas in the diagram below will be closed. Along with this, the aquarium exhibition room has two routes: “Route A (first entrance, current aquarium exhibition room entrance. In front of the aquarium special exhibition room) and turn around at the tunnel aquarium” and “B (second entrance, You will enter from the current aquarium exhibition room exit (in front of the micro aquarium) and turn around in front of the Koayu aquarium (C).
