Hanada Junior High School Cultural Presentation Performance by Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra and session with students Friday, November 1, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. Venue Himeji City Hanada Junior High School Gymnasium Activity details 1. Pre-workshop Through the Japan Arts Council’s “Comprehensive Support Project for Performing Arts, etc.,” we will provide appreciation guidance, practical skill guidance, and performance performance training in preparation for the day of the cultural presentation. 2. On the day of the cultural presentation The Okayama Philharmonic Orchestra will be invited to the cultural presentation at Hanada Junior High School through the Japan Arts Council’s “Comprehensive Support Project for Performing Arts, etc.” In the morning, students will participate in a choir competition, koto music, and student presentations, and in the afternoon they will be exposed to authentic classical music performed by the Okayama Philharmonic. The entire venue sings the school song along with the orchestra, and the students have sessions using various rhythm instruments, recorders, etc. You will also receive direct instruction from a professional conductor and experience conducting an orchestra. Through this experience, you will be able to deepen your cultural understanding of music, sharpen your artistic sensibilities, and feel a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.
