(Regarding the second child/Answer with the amount for each child under 3 years old and over 3 years old) (SA)

As a result, the highest response for both the second and third respondents was “It doesn’t help.” In particular, for the third person, 8.9% said it would be a boost, while 36.8% said it would not be a boost, more than four times as many. On the other hand, the second person said, “If anything, it will give me a boost,” and the results were evenly matched, with more people viewing the second person more positively. It seems that the difference in the height of the hurdles for the second and third participants was reflected in the results. When we asked those who answered in Q1 that “it doesn’t give a boost” or “doesn’t give a boost” about their second child how much money they would feel would be “a boost for a second child,” the answers were “for children under 3 years old” and “for children over 3 years old.” For both age groups, 30,000 yen or more and 50,000 yen or more were more expensive. There seems to be a large gap between the current situation (15,000 yen for children under 3 years old, 10,000 yen for children over 3 years old) and expectations. (P2 also introduces respondents’ comments) ■Comments regarding expansion of child allowance ■It will give you a boost ・Childcare costs money, so an increase in allowances will give you peace of mind. ・Until now, I was unable to receive child allowance due to income restrictions, but just removing the restrictions would be a big deal. ■If anything, it’s a boost ・It won’t have a dramatic effect, but if you can get it, it will help you prepare for your future education insurance, and it will alleviate some of your financial worries about having many children. ・The increase in the amount of money I receive will be a boost, but I am worried because my salary has not increased and prices are rising at a fast pace. ■Neither can be said ・Although it is a financial boost, I am worried if my physical strength, work, and other environments are not in place. ・I am grateful that the allowance has been increased up to high school students and is paid six times a year. However, even if the amount increases after the third child, it won’t be able to cover it, so I don’t think I can safely have a second or third child. ■If anything, it doesn’t provide any support ・Let’s give birth because we can get paid! And it won’t be a boost. I would like to see a more understanding and conducive work environment in how the company responds when a child is called from a nursery school, and how the people around them respond. ・I’m happy that it’s expanded to include high school students, but I don’t like it because I feel like I have to give birth to 3 or more children in the end. ■Not supportive ・Both parents are working, and due to concerns about the financial situation, they are at the limit of having a second child. Having a third child can’t just be a solution to financial worries. We need to review the entire system, including not only allowances but also dependents, and create a society where people can balance work and work. ・I don’t think things will be that different until the second child. ■Results of a survey on how child allowances are currently used Q3: What is the bank account for child allowance? As a result, the majority of child allowance transfer accounts go to the father’s personal account. About 12% said they opened a savings account for their child. When asked how to use the child allowance, the most common answer was “saving for children” (more than half). The next most common response was “living expenses,” with many commenting that “because I registered my parents’ account, my living expenses were combined with my living expenses.” ■Comments from mothers on how to use the current child allowance ■Savings (children) ・I set up an account for my child and save money every month so that I can give him a large sum of money when he becomes independent in the future. ・Currently, I am saving money in my child’s account. In the future, we plan to use a portion of those deposits in NISA. ■Living expenses ・Since it is not managed separately, it is used as living expenses. Expenses for children are secured separately from child allowance. ・Due to high prices, our salaries are not enough and we are also using child allowances. I want my children to eat all kinds of things! ■Children’s clothes and daily necessities ・The money is used for children’s expenses such as diapers and kindergarten supplies. ・All children’s clothes, daily necessities, lessons, etc. are paid for from the child allowance. ■Savings (joint family) ・I put the money into my mutual aid account, which has a good interest rate, and save it for my family. ・I save money in my family’s savings account. I hope I can use my savings to pay for my child’s education. ■Insurance ・In order to avoid problems in choosing a career path in the future, the monthly child allowance is used to pay for educational insurance.
