Sanketsu Shoujo Sayuri is a 2.5-dimensional parallel singer-songwriter who sings while strumming her acoustic guitar, representing the “oxygen-deficient generation,” characterized by complex feelings of both superiority and inferiority due to different values and sensibilities from others.
Sayuri exists in three forms, each operating in different dimensions: 2D, 3D, and a parallel space, appearing unpredictably. On August 26, 2015, Sayuri made her major debut with the ending theme “Mikazuki” for the Fuji TV “Noitamina” anime Ranpo Kitan: Game of Laplace. The raw beauty of the song linked strongly with the anime’s world, receiving overwhelming support and becoming a hit right from her debut. On February 24, 2016, she released her second single, “Sore wa Chiisana Hikari no Youna”, the ending theme for the Fuji TV “Noitamina” anime ERASED. This single reached 7th place on the Oricon daily chart and 3rd place on the iTunes overall singles chart, achieving significant success.
On June 24, she released the digital EP “Rurararura Rurarura Rurarura”, and on December 7, the 4th single “Furaregai Girl”, produced and provided by RADWIMPS’ Yojiro Noda. Both works topped the iTunes overall album charts consecutively. Her latest single, “Heikousen”, ranked No. 1 on the iTunes overall singles chart for four consecutive days from the first day of release, and reached 10th place on the Oricon weekly singles ranking, marking her most successful single to date.
Her first full album, “Mikazuki no Kouka”, released on May 17, 2017, reached No. 1 on the Oricon daily album chart on the first day and secured the 3rd spot on the Oricon weekly album chart.
