However, over the years, these valuable materials are beginning to deteriorate. As a private museum, almost 100% of our operating costs are covered by admission fees, so if admission fees are not sufficient, it is difficult to allocate funds for conservation and restoration. By recording the stuffed animals that have been staring at the museum as portraits, we want to convey their “life” and what dwells in their gaze to future generations. If you publish a photo book containing them from a major publisher rather than self-publishing it, it will be carried by bookstores across the country. I thought that if it caught the attention of many people, more people would know about the existence of this museum, which would help increase the number of visitors. The photo book includes all 801 stuffed animals that are currently on permanent display in the museum as of 2024. In addition, if we receive more support than our goal, we will donate the entire amount to Tsuyama Nature’s Wonder Museum and use it to cover the cost of preserving and restoring the stuffed animals.
