Nidek Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture, President and CEO: Motoo Ozawa) is collaborating with Gamagori City to provide eye care services to Gamagori City for a limited period of one month in October, including October 10th, which is designated as Eye Protection Day. A flag with an illustration by Hiroyuki Ohashi, a manga artist from Gamagori City, will be displayed at the south exit of the station. The aim is to encourage citizens to be conscious of their eye health by allowing citizens to see the flags that say, “Sight is lifelong” and “Can you see far?”. Increase in myopia in children, eye frailty (a condition in which eye function declines due to aging and various external stresses, and a high risk of this), and the elderly. People of all ages need to be conscious of their eye health, including cataracts, which are common.
