Incorporated Association (Chairman: Minoru Saotome, hereinafter referred to as our group) and Designium Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Satoshi Maeda, hereinafter referred to as Designium) are working together to create a “Tourism AR Concierge” developed by Designium. We conducted a demonstration experiment on tourist guidance using generative AI in Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City. This initiative was adopted as a problem-solving program by MUIC Kansai (hereinafter referred to as MUIC), an innovation creation center operated by our group, and was a technological verification aimed at solving problems in the tourism industry. *May 10, 2023 “A new tourism experience realized with voice response and AR navigation using ChatGPT. For tourist information, we referred to the “Special Kyoto Project” operated by Kyoto City and the Kyoto City Tourism
Association, and attempted to generate the optimal route according to the user’s needs and situation.

Output recommended destinations and courses

Check them on the map view and choose which route you would like to take. 3. Start of 3D route guidance using VPS

This allows you to walk around without getting lost and not taking the wrong direction. Suggestions obtained through verification 1. Enrichment of reference database Generally, information about tourist destinations often exists in analog formats such as paper media, and is often not centrally managed. In order to output appropriate proposals that meet the diverse needs of users, it is necessary to convert this
information into digital form, create a database, and organize it in a format that can be referenced. 2. Optimal target area size and characteristics In this target area, there is a certain amount of stress involved in excursions, such as traveling by train, and it may be difficult to elicit that much motivation with guidance alone, so we will provide other incentives to compensate for this. The design must also be validated. 3. Cost burden related to experience provision This time, the generated AI will be run every time a route is proposed, so if more people experience it, there is a possibility that a large amount of running costs will be incurred. In addition to providing free tourist information, we need to consider service formats that include experiences that encourage people to pay. Outlook for future development

However, through this verification, we realized that it is difficult to increase user motivation through simple guidance, and that it is necessary to design an experience that more deeply engages users.

I will. This app uses databases and generation AI according to areas and facilities to create a system that
automatically generates content. As a result, even when expanding functionality, we can efficiently and smoothly provide flexible solutions that suit various areas and facilities. As part of its development efforts with a view to market launch, Designium
participated in “enXross HACKATHON*” sponsored by Tokyo Dome Co., Ltd., and created a prototype “AR Agent” that enhances the
entertainment experience in Tokyo Dome City. ” was announced. *enXross HACKATHON official page:
