Japan XR Center Press release: October 1, 2024 Tokyo Dome City’s new XR attraction wins the highest award in the VR category at AWE Asia 2024 This attraction will be exhibited at Theme Park EXPO, which will be held from October 16th to 18th. Also, on the 16th, our representative Kobayashi is scheduled to give a lecture on the global situation of VR attractions.

implementation at the best value,” and we develop XR games and attractions, as well as provide XR training content for major companies. Our company is comprised of multinational experts spread across Japan, the United States, and India. Tokyo Dome Company is a comprehensive entertainment company representing Japan that operates a variety of entertainment facilities centered on Tokyo Dome City. Since our establishment in 1936, we have made it our social mission to provide urban leisure, and have always continued to take on new challenges. In pursuit of providing an entertainment experience that makes full use of the latest technology, we have developed this XR attraction. In order to disseminate this attraction to the world, we exhibited at AWE Asia 2024 in collaboration with Tokyo Dome, and the results there led to us winning the Grand Prize in the VR category. What is Auggie Awards? The Auggie Awards are a globally prestigious AR&VR industry award that has been held since 2010. Now in its 15th year, the award recognizes the best works in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MVR). At AWE Asia 2024, the best works were selected in each category, and Tokyo Dome City’s XR attraction won the prestigious top award in the VR category. We will build on this success and move forward with preparations for the opening later this year.
