This is a popular local event with more and more participants each time! In the Nyukawa area of Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, the Nyukawa Community Development Youth Group hosts a marche every spring and fall. It’s an event that everyone from adults to children, visitors and vendors alike, look forward to every year, with food and beverages, merchandise sales, mini SL, and more. This time’s theme is “Play with your five senses!” ‘, with sub-themes of ‘seeing, hearing, touching, thinking, and tasting.’ Rides on mini steam locomotives, which are very popular with children, an art corner on construction vehicles made possible through the generosity of local companies, a diverse cultural exhibition displaying not only calligraphy and pottery but also plastic models, and a music booth where high school students can also participate. Efforts have been made to allow participants to enjoy the event to their heart’s content. During lunch time, food and drink booths such as kitchen cars are crowded. Be sure to enjoy autumn food featuring local gourmet foods such as “Sukaku Tsuyaki” by the Nyukawa Town Development Youth Group, Rosse pork yakisoba, and sweets. Continuing from last time, we are inviting mobile sales vehicles to the event, hoping to give people who have lost their driving licenses due to old age or other reasons that make it difficult to go shopping a new shopping experience. Last time, people who had experienced it brought back stories and were considering using it. Not only is it fun, but contributing to the local community is also an attractive point. If you have never experienced mobile sales, please come and visit us.
