We have carried out various initiatives, promoted education, research, and social contribution, and cultivated highly skilled practitioners who have been sent out to the local and international communities.  Our university will be hosting the “SDGs and Future Human Resources Symposium” on October 25th (Friday) from 16:00 to 17:30 at the Co-Education and Co-Creation Commons (OUX) on the Tsushima Campus of our university.  At this symposium, current students and alumni of our university will take to the podium and give lectures on the activities they started with their own original ideas, how those activities have developed since then, and their future plans. A panel discussion will be held to consider the future of the next generation who will create the future. Former President Hirofumi Makino, who has been deeply involved since our university was certified as a university promoting SDGs research, will participate in the panel discussion as a commentator.  We are also planning a social gathering after the symposium for the purpose of interacting and exchanging information between the lecturers and participants.  To all the university students who are thinking, “I want to take a step forward and start some kind of activity,” or “I want to know about the initiatives that our students are working on,” and “I want to know about the activities of Okayama University students.” We request all companies and local governments in Okayama Prefecture to participate.
