In this club, we go to the town of Kanayama, listen to stories from local people, and create zines using various printmaking and printing techniques. On November 9th (Saturday), the culminating art festival “Kanayama Jin Club Festival” will be held. *ZINE is a booklet created by individuals or groups using their own methods and themes. The Kanayama Jin Club programs that you can experience in October are as follows. ■ On-site workshop 1 Brazilian Coffee “Sound becomes a print!? Let’s make a print with a record!”

Why not try making prints with Brazilian coffee and records you can no longer listen to? Using a printmaking method called “medium peel-off printing,” we will create prints by applying ink to an actual record. (The prints you create may be used as materials for a zine.) *Since ink is applied to the record, it may get dirty or scratched, or the record may become unplayable. Please note this in advance if you bring your own records. We believe that tradition is created through a series of challenges, and we continue to take on new initiatives without resting on our laurels. In 2021, the “Kanayama Ekimae Town Sodate Association” was established and will serve as the first chairman. Taking advantage of the potential of Kanayama Station, where hundreds of thousands of people get on and off every day, we are working to transform the area in front of Kanayama Station into a gateway to Nagoya, and evolve it from a
“transportation hub” to an “exchange hub” by offering a variety of attractions. .

The hand-drawn product catalog-style pages gained rave reviews in some quarters, and unique stores such as “Croquette Shop Mine,” “Shokudo Sakaba Keke,” and “Manami Old Bookstore” opened one after another in converted vacant houses. In addition, the Kinjo Market, which was founded in 1955, was restored and revitalized over three years. Various events, including the monthly Kinjo Night Market, are a success, bringing a new breeze to the downtown area, where the old townscape still remains.
