However, when we thought about repainting and asked a contractor for a quote, we learned that it would cost a huge amount of money just to erect the scaffolding, and there was nothing we could do about it. We have considered asking the parishioners for their cooperation, but asking for this amount of money would be a huge burden on each individual. In addition, the number of tourists visiting Shodoshima has decreased due to the coronavirus, and although the number of tourists on Shodoshima has returned to the
pre-coronavirus level after the coronavirus outbreak, the number of hotels has decreased and the time spent on Shodoshima has become shorter.
