Three indie band singers from Taiwan, Lilium, Shallow Levee, and Ma Nianxian, performed at the Apple Music Festival. On October 1st, the “Romantic Taiwan in Tokyo” press conference and concert was held at a live house in Aoyama, Tokyo, attended by Japanese media and music industry personnel. In a speech at the press conference, Director of the Taiwan Cultural Center Soken-Ryu said, “I am glad that the Taiwan Cultural Center was able to collaborate with this music festival for the first time.I actually went to Matsumoto and the performance at the venue was wonderful.The young audience was also very happy. I’m very grateful,” he said, hoping that more Japanese people would learn about Taiwan’s music culture. All three performers introduced themselves in both English and Japanese, and performed diverse music filled with Taiwanese characteristics.
