Championship” We will be holding a The National Daruma-san Fallen Championship is held in Oji Town, Nara Prefecture, the birthplace of “Daruma” For a certain reason, this competition has been held since 2021 by turning the old-fashioned game “Daruma-san ga Fallen” into a competition. Since Takasaki City is the number one producer of Daruma dolls in Japan, we held it for the first time last year with the cooperation of Oji Town, Nara Prefecture, in order to enliven the area with a Daruma event. Due to the large number of people who
participated and the popularity of the event, we decided to hold this event for the second time. This year’s event is also linked to “Takasaki Halloween,” so wearing a costume is a mandatory condition for participation this year. The competition is played on a 10m wide x 15m long court with obstacles set up, and the winner is the one who reaches the finish line within 2 minutes. There are no age
restrictions and players will compete in groups of around 10 people on the same court. Mini Daruma dolls will be given to the winner, runner-up, and third place. We will also have costume prizes on the day. Why not have fun with everyone from children to adults under the refreshing autumn sky?
