It will be held. The unique painter Shinpei Kashihara has dedicated sliding door paintings to Honnoji Temple in Kyoto, as well as the “Chou Kabuki” series, which became a hot topic when Shido Nakamura and Hatsune Miku co-starred, Taichi Saotome’s “Shadow Picture”, and Tsuyoshi Domoto’s solo project “ENDRECHERI”. He is a talented artist who provides illustrations to various artists and collaborates with companies in a wide variety of ways, including MVs. In this solo exhibition, in addition to a group of works depicting skulls symbolizing “death” and flowers that are gorgeous symbols of “life,” he also converted the “Iroha Uta” into digital language, bringing together the entire universe of digital and analog on a single screen. We will exhibit works that express “tradition” and “renovation,” “life” and “death” as two sides of the same coin. Also on display will be collaborative art works created by actors Taichi Saotome, musician Yoshitaka Yamada (Yamada Yoshida), and other gorgeous members gathered for this solo exhibition. Shinpei Kashihara will be in the gallery on October 18th (Friday), the first day of his solo exhibition. From 15:00, in celebration of the event, we will hold a kagami biraki ceremony with barrels of Japanese sake “Afuri” (Yoshikawa Brewing Co., Ltd.), which will be distributed to attendees as complimentary sake (until supplies run out). Furthermore, from 19:00 on the same day, there will be a reception party, with live music performances by violinist Yuji Katsui (ROVO), musician Shizuka Sakuo, and artist SENA. He does a lot of work as a painter and designer without belonging to any art world or faction. His medium of expression is wide-ranging, from the production of paintings using ink painting, acrylic gouache, paint, etc. to live performances with musicians and art direction. His work, which stands out for its unique touch that combines Western and Eastern painting materials, techniques, and sensibilities, has received high acclaim in various fields.
