He serves as an associate professor at National Chung Cheng University and is also focusing on human resource development. He has won numerous awards for his work on various social issues, including migrant workers, judicial reform, the Sunflower Movement, and demonstrations against air pollution. “Nine Bullets” won the 59th Golden Horse Award for Best Documentary Film and was selected for the competition section of One World Festival, the world’s largest human rights film festival.

Currently, he is producing feature films and documentaries mainly in Asia. ≪About Taiwan Cultural Center Taiwan Film Screening 2024≫ “Taiwan Cultural Center Taiwan Film Screening” is a popular screening event held by the Taiwan Cultural Center of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office to Japan since 2016 to introduce masterpieces and ambitious films depicting the current state of Taiwan. Starting this year, the event will be renovated and hosted by the Taiwan Cultural Center, Cinema Drifters, and Daifuku, with film director Lim Kar-wai as curator. In 2024, we will screen a total of seven films from May to October, including six films that will be screened for the first time in Japan, and one film that was screened at the Osaka Asian Film Festival and will be screened for its Tokyo premiere. Along with the screening, we will also hold a talk event with the director and various guests to deepen your understanding of Taiwanese society and culture, discover new Taiwanese films, and introduce the charm of Taiwan. Keio University Hiyoshi Film Festival is an event that aims to promote understanding of Chinese-speaking culture and society and increase motivation to learn the language, and holds screening events of popular films from Chinese-speaking countries, as well as screenings and talks.
