Vol.3 Artist in Residence enoco short stay art program (ESSAP) will be held at Osaka Prefectural Enokojima Cultural Arts Creation Center! This year, in commemoration of Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai World Expo, we are recruiting from all over the country.

ESSAP provides young artists based in Japan with a creative base free of charge for about four weeks, and invites them to present their results at talk events, workshops, and exhibit their works. Through this program, we hope to create opportunities for artistic activities and to bring art closer to people in the local community. Length of stay: Approximately 4 weeks | Wednesday, April 30, 2025 – Sunday, June 29, 2025 The above schedule does not include the exhibition period. The date and time will be determined in consultation with the artist. *Production times are facility opening hours (10:00-21:00). Closed on Mondays and unavailable. Eligibility: 1. Young artists over 18 years old who are active in the art field based in Japan (must be under 40 years old as of November 1, 2024) 2. During your stay, be able to hold talk events and workshops for local people, and be able to communicate and cooperate with the organizers. 3. Ability to communicate in Japanese. 4. Be able to do everything related to production and daily life on your own. Also, be able to present the results of production and activities, and take responsibility for display work and removal. Subsidy/support details: ・Provision of production space (Room 6/49.0 square meters) and free rental of equipment within the enoco facility ・Provision of material costs, transportation expenses, etc. (up to 200,000 yen) ・Free exhibition space (Room 2 and Room 3 *For details, please refer to the rental space list on our website. Candidate exhibition dates are from July 4th (Friday) to July 27th (Sunday), 2025. is.) ・Free parking and bicycle parking ・Public relations cooperation and setup assistance during events ・Issuance and distribution of record booklets ・Although enoco does not have accommodation facilities, we can provide information on nearby accommodations. In that case, accommodation fee will be paid separately. Selection method: 1. Please apply using the application form on the website by 23:59 from Friday, November 1, 2024 to Saturday, November 30, 2024. 2.The language of the application form is Japanese only. 3.The enoco secretariat will make a selection based on the submitted application documents. All applicants will be notified of the results by email by the end of December 2024. We will announce the selected artists on our website and SNS by mid-January.
